UK Citizens

The British Embassy of France has up-to-date news on matters relating to French-British relations, as well as issues of politics, health and safety and immigration. The website of the British Embassy and British Consulate has a "Living in France" section with articles catering specifically to UK residents in France.

The British Consulate provides services for Britons in France while the British Consulate-General in Marseille represents its citizens in the PACA (Provence-Alpes-Côtes d'Azur) area which includes Alpes-Maritimes, Corsica, Var and Monaco. They provide commercial and personal advice and aid to UK citizens in southern France

The British Government website has a section for Britons living abroad. The information is not specific to France but provides useful facts relevant to moving, relocating with a family or retiring abroad. It includes information on tax and pensions, education, employment, insurance, as well as having information on everything to be considered when returning to the UK after a period of time overseas.

US Citizens

The Embassy of the United States, Paris France has a website with up-to-date news on matters of relevance to American citizens in France.

The US Citizens Service is the consular section, which provides detailed information on legal matters pertaining to US citizens living in France: information on passport details and the registration of intended residence; registration of births, marriages, deaths; employment issues for the employer and employee; housing, vehicle buying, selling and registering; the voting process when out of the country and so on.
