| There are gold dealers to whom you can sell your gold and get paid by the weight. I don't know what you can do with your silver. There is a new jewellery shop in Sophia Antipolis, at the St Phillipe shopping centre, who (I believe) buys gold. You could ask there, if you're located in that vicinity.

I have loads of old gold jewelery which I've amassed over the years at
the bottom of my cupboard which I haven't worn for years, so last time
I was in the UK I sent a couple of pieces off to one of these cash for
old gold places. The price I was given that they would buy it at was so
ridiculous I decided to keep everything.
My OH then suggested rather than sell it, have it made into some new pieces. I think this is what I will do.
Linda.
Crazy in love with my slob.

I was chatting to a jeweller the other day (about something else!) and what to do with broken jewellery actually came up = though I can't tell if that's your case or not .. you can get your broken stuff or items you don't like anymore melted down and then recreate something new and then it just costs you the labout as they don't charge for the gold..
If you want there number let me know she seemed very friendly and open to ideas

| A jeweller compressed all pieces of white and yellow gold I had to make a kind of "César", a funny shaped rectangle : it was a nice way to keep family treasures in an original ingot form. |
