 e-mail lindafrobisher. | From what I can see none of the consumer reports give a thumbs up for companies buying gold. They've reported them as only giving anything from 20 to 40 percent of the days value.
They also said, which which is a good point, to watch out if you are sending antique jewelry, as it may be worth far more intact than having it melted down.
I personally, am going to hold on to my old jewelry and have it made into some new pieces. As musiciens says, you then only pay for the labour and not the material.
